2017 Regulatory Update for Health Organizations Workshop

What You Will Learn

  • 1-day workshop provides an update on financial regulatory issues affecting health organizations.

  • New accounting and reporting principles in Accounting Practices and Procedures Manual, as of March 2017.

  • Changes to SVO Purposes and Procedures Manual and other investment filing and reporting requirements.

  • Changes to 2017 Health Annual Statement, RBC Formula and other new Supplemental filings.

  • Changes to 2018 Health Quarterly Statement.

  • Other financial regulatory issues under consideration at the NAIC affecting health organizations.

  • Participants are encouraged to bring copies of their prior year's annual statement and RBC report for discussion and clarifications of any reporting problems.

  • Update to 2017 Accounting Practices and Procedures Manual including all new SSAPs, new Interpretations, modifications to existing SSAPs and all new Issue Papers.

  • Update to 2017 Health Annual and 2018 Health Quarterly Statements.

  • Update to 2017 SVO Purposes and Procedures Manual and current investment issues.

Class Information

Class begins at 8:30 a.m. and concludes at 5:00 p.m. Continental breakfast will be served between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Morning and afternoon refreshments are provided. Lunch is the responsibility of the attendee.

Terms & Conditions

  • Confirmation Procedures
    You will receive confirmation via email of your registration. Registration is not complete until your payment is received. Your confirmation will provide information regarding transportation, logistics and materials needed for the seminar(s) as well as an invoice for your tuition.

  • Cancellations/Refunds
    We understand that circumstances may arise that require you to cancel. You may send a replacement or apply your tuition to another MCS seminar within the following 12-months if you notify MCS fifteen (15) business days prior to the seminar date.

    As an alternative, you may request a refund, less a $200 administrative fee, up to ten (10) business days prior to the seminar date. If notification of cancellation is received less than ten (10) business days prior to the seminar date, you will be liable for the entire tuition amount. In fairness to all attendees, if you do not attend a seminar for which you are confirmed and do not contact MCS to cancel in advance, you will be liable for the entire tuition amount.
